Brenda Lee Steele

We regret to announce the passing of Brenda Lee Steele on Saturday, January 4th, 2020 at the An Cala Unit of CB Regional Hospital. Born on July 4, 1954 and raised in South Branch, NS with her late parents Hazel (Maxwell) and Frank Peterson along with her nine siblings, Allen (Penny), Frances Cox (Colin – Deceased), Bob (Carol), Leona Cox (Eric – Deceased), Judy Burchill (Paul), Bev Myhr (Neill), Jim (Laura), Wayne (Evelyn), Connie Babineau (Earl). Along with her siblings Brenda is also survived by her sister-in-law Debbie (George) Young. Besides her mother and father, she was predeceased by her stepmother Irene, her first husband Malcolm MacDonald (1985) and her second husband Bentley Steele (2011). Although Brenda had no children of her own, she was a mother to many. Her home and heart were open to all of her friends, family and especially children. Her three special “kids” Sarah, Lindsay and Jordan meant so much to her, along with their children Ryder, Rachel, Charlee and Janelle. Her warm heart and generous nature endeared her to all who knew her. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, Jan. 9 at St. Joseph’s Church in Little Bras d’Or with Fr.
