She was one of the sweetest ladies I've have ever meet as a young kid when visiting her with my Dad and Mom .She always had a smile, cup tea and sweets ready for you. As I became a CCA I had honor of visiting this beautiful sole day and night in her own home .Where spent alot time taking about her past and all fun stories she tell about her being a kid and  how the  times have changed over the years. She will forever be in my Heart along with so many others.RIP Dear Angel Ellen.

There will never be another woman like Aunt Ellen. Our sincere condolences to all of her immediate family and friends. We were very blessed to have this special lady as family. Whenever we were down to Cape Breton it was a given that there was a day set aside to visit with Aunt Ellen. At her home you would be invited to sign her book, eat at her table and reminisce about times long ago. Living a simple dignified life, she was always full of humour and honesty. We will miss her phone calls, cards and visits. I can only hope that she knew how really special she was to so many.

Every time I took mom down home, we would always go and see Aunt Ellen. She always had great sweets and tea. The time would fly sitting talking about everything.  Mom always wanted to see Ellen when she came up to stay with her daughter, Linda, in Sydney. Love and Miss you Aunt Ellen

Last visited 30 yrs. ago in South Harbour and she was welcoming with tea and biscuits , with a nice visit . I , m son of Ethel Lewis Meikle of Point Edward , my sympathies to the Families .Douglas Meikle
