Born in Leitches Creek Nov 30, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Eva (Clark) Ball and Alvin Ball, as well as the stepdaughter of the late Christina (MacQueen) Ball.
In her younger days she enjoyed camping and fishing in the Highlands. Her backyard was always open to all the kids in the neighborhood for a good campfire. She enjoyed her Sunday drives and days spent at the beach with her kids.
Eva is survived by her children George (Maxine), Brenda (Brian) Taylor, Derek (caregiver), Lawrence (Tina), Kevin (Anne), Lori Ann, Nicole (Brian Miles), grandchildren Karen Bradley, Abigail and John Taylor, Evan and Peter Jessome and her in-laws Melvin Devoe (Christina), Stella Devoe and Mavis Devoe. She will also be missed by her loyal dog Skippy.
Eva was predeceased by her grandparents that raised her, Martha and George Clark, the love of her life, Stanley Devoe and her daughter Nancy Ann Devoe.
A special thank you to the Northside General Hospital Dialysis Unit, for the wonderful care given to our mother. She met so many wonderful people there.
Visitation for the late Eva Clark (Ball) Devoe who passed away on Oct 29, 2018, will be from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, 8 Clyde Ave. Sydney Mines on Fri. Nov 16, 2018. Funeral Services will be at 10am on Sat in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place following the service in Lakeside Cemetery, Johnston Rd. North Sydney.
