Harold is survived by his wife Gloria, sons Ricky (Martina), Vern (Nadine) and daughter Vicky (Kenny). Granddaughters Emily, Martina, Kaylee and grandson Nicholas. Harold is also survived by his brother John (Nicole) and his sister, Sherry.
Harold was predeceased by his parents, Sidney and Violet Jackson, brothers, Sonny and Raymond and sisters, Sarah, Anne and Yvonne (in infancy).
Harold worked at Cape Breton Highlands Links golf course in Ingonish for many years as greenskeeper as well as many other parts of the Cape Breton Highland’s National Park, a job which he truly loved. When Harold wasn’t working, you could be guaranteed to find him in the backyard tinkering with one of the many vehicles he owned. Over the past 2 years Dad took on his most important role. He devoted the remainder of his life tirelessly caring for our mother as she battles Alzheimer’s.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
