

Norma Jean Fricker, 87, Neil’s Harbour, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Buchannan Memorial Health Care Centre, with her family by her side. Born in Neil’s Harbour she was the daughter of the late John C Fricker and Susanna (Knott) Fricker. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Neil’s Harbour. She is survived by her brother George (Marg) Fricker, Mulgrave, step daughter, Donna Ferguson, Ontario, nephews Kelvin Hussey, Keith Hussey (Ann), Kevin Fricker (Megan), niece Dorothy Jean Best (Charlie) and many favorite grand nieces and nephews and their families who were like Grand Babies to her.
She was predeceased by son Graham Ingraham, husband William Fitzgerald, sister Elizabeth Hussey, brother-in-law Roland Hussey and niece-in-law Maria Hussey.
MacKinnon’s Campground, Normie’s home away from home, forever remained the love of her and Billy’s life, the campers blended as a family unit of love. Normie’s extended family were Highland Manor staff and residents the past three years, many of whom were special to her heart. Wonderful care and compassion was freely given to Normie and for this we the family are beyond grateful. Normie was a retired Health Care Professional of 43 years, beginning at the old cottage hospital in Neil’s’ Harbour and retiring from Buchanan Memorial Health Center.

Visitation will be Friday, May 16, 2025 from 11 am to 12pm at St. Andrew’s Parish Church, in Neil’s Harbour.
Funeral Service will follow at 12 pm in St. Andrew Parish Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with the Reverend Ron Nikkel officiating. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family by visiting fillmoreandwhitman.com.
