It is with profound sadness that the family announce the
passing of their dear mother in Victoria County Memorial
Hospital, Baddeck on Friday September 10, 2010. Born in
Shunacadie she was the youngest child of John Peter and
Katherine MacKinnon. She was a member of St. Columba
Parish, lona. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Patricia),
Sydney, Ronald (Laura), Halifax; John (Vivian), Fort
McMurray, Carlyle (Neila),1ona; daughters, Jean• (Blair),
Albert Bridge, Marcella, lona; grandchildren; Steven, Shane
and Cameron; sisters, Mary MacNeil, Shunacadie, Theresa
MacIntosh, Sydney; sister in laws; Jovita Center, Boston;
Theresa Lawther, Hamiliton, ant; Audrey MacKinnon,
Lindsey, ant; aunt, Sarah MacNeil, Sydney. She was
predeceased by her husband, Malcolm "Big Rory" in 2002;
brothers, Francis MacKinnon; Joe MacKinnon and Stephen
MacKinnon. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m., Monday in the St.
Columba Parish Center, lona. Funeral service 11 a.m.,
Tuesday in St. Columba Church, lona. Rev. Paul Abbass will
officiate. Donations to Victoria County Palliative Care or the
