Bill was born in Sydney Mines to the late William and Margaret (Bonnar) Ferguson. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time out in the yard. He was also a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Sydney Mines, Br 8. He worked as a maintenance man at Harbourview Hospital for many years and in his younger days enjoyed playing darts.
Bill is survived by his wife Miriam, daughter Sherri Lynn as well as his sisters Mae Dowling and Eleanor (Fred) Patterson, sisters-in-law Maddie Ferguson, Alice (John) Brown, Thelma Gear and Sandra Gear as well as nieces, nephews and his four legged baby Holly.
Besides his parents, Bill was also predeceased by his brother Jacob. A graveside service will be held at Brookside Cemetery on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:00am with Major Charlene Vincent officiating.
