Wilson Murray Ball

70, Leitches Creek

Wilson passed away peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on March 13, 2015. Born in North Sydney on August 9,1944. He was a son of the Late Harold and Janet "Nettie" (Inch) Ball.

Wilson lived all his life in Leitches Creek and was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Sydney Mines. He worked with Dunlap's Lumber and Trucking, Lynk Electric, Marine Atlantic and Nova Scotia Department of Highways in Sydney River and Halifax.

Wilson loved his tractor, working on his car and shovelling snow for his family and neighbours. He was a resident of Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Miner's Lane, for more than 9 years.

Wilson is survived by sister Margaret Jane Whatley, brothers Willard, and Thomas (Glenda), nieces Janet Irene and Laura Jane Whatley as well as several cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by nephew Jason Ball and brother-in-law John Whatley.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 7-9pm at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, 10 Clyde Avenue, Sydney Mines. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday March 18, 2015 at 11am at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home. Burial to take place at a later date.
