Albert Charles Ginnish

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our son, brother, father, partner, nephew, Albert Charles Ginnish. Al joined his sister and loved ones in the spirit world on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

Al was loved by many and was a very loyal friend. Al had a great love for Christmas, a passion for fixing cars and the Montreal Canadiens.

Al is survived by his partner Bret McArthur, his sons Atticus Christmas, Aiden Christmas, Kasey MacArthur, and his daughters Haley Christmas, and Kara MacArthur. He is also survived by his parents Eleanor Kabatay and Ed (Carol) Kabatay paternal father Al Francis and Godmother Marilyn Francis, grandmother Rosie Francis, his brothers Christopher Kabatay (Rebecca), Kyle Kabatay, his aunts Debra Ginnish, Sheila Ginnish (Adrian), Doreen Stevens (Vance) and Uncle Howard Ginnish. Al will also be missed by his many family members in Yarmouth and Boston.

Al was predeceased by his beautiful sister Michelle Marie Ginnish, Uncle Danny Paul, and Grammy Evelyn Ginnish.

We, the family, would like to extend sincere gratitude to the Membertou Wellness Team, CBRH Palliative Care team and our special friends who supported us through this journey.

Cremation will take place following the funeral. Visitation will be held starting at 7pm on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 72 Tupsi Dr. and continuing until the service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, 40 Cabot St., Sydney with Fr.
