It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ann Marie (MacNeil) Landry on February 20, 2021. Ann was born on August 13, 1932 to Joseph and Amelia (Barrie) MacNeil. After graduating from Holy Angels High School, Ann joined the air force where she worked in the radar section. It was in the air force where she met her husband of 65 years, Everett Landry. After returning to Cape Breton, Ann worked for the provincial Department of Justice as a court reporter for 35 years. Ann loved Cape Breton and photography. She loved to wander the beaches and back roads with her camera always close at hand. Ann and Ed enjoyed travelling and spending time with family members.
Ann is survived by one sibling Patrick MacNeil of Westmount and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann is predeceased by her parents, her husband Ed, and siblings Marie MacNeil, Sadie Thompson (Jim), John MacNeil, Catherine V. MacNeil, Peggy Donaldson (Lorne), Edward (Elizabeth), Alexander (Louise), Cecilia Leveck (Lorne), Dorothy Stewart (Claude), Robert (Marguerite), Donald (Marie), Joan Cunningham (Vince) and David.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday September 24, 2021 at 11 am, at Our Lady of Fatima with Fr. Patrick O'Neill officiating.
