Annette Thompson, age 91 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the MacGillivray Guest Home with family by her side.

Formerly of the North End, she was born and raised in Sydney Mines and was the only child of the late Clayton and Doris (Ballard) Graham.

She was a former member of Sacred Heart parish. In early years she worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia and Azar Motors. She was a founding member of Resi-Care and served on the Board of Directors for over fifty years. She loved to travel and her and Bernard had many great trips but they always favored their country estate at Red Islands.

Annette is survived by her sons Stephen (Larry), New York; Ron (Debbie), Bridgewater; Graham (Linda), Glace Bay; 3 grandsons, 5 granddaughters and 2 great granddaughters.

She was predeceased in 2006 by her husband Bernard.

The family would like to thank the staff of MacGillivray 's for their excellent care of mom.

Visitation for Annette Thompson will be on Monday, April 3 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 4 at 11 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Fr. Bill Burke officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
