It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister Annie Claire Isaac on Saturday, Feb. 29 at Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Annie was born to the late John Googoo and Harriet Isadore on April 24, 1940. Annie was a devout catholic and loved her trips to Sainte Anne de Beaupre. She was very proud of her Mi’kmaq heritage and enjoyed dancing at pow-wows and all the traditional activities. One of her favorite passtimes was playing cards with her best friends Eleanor Mitchell and Freda. Annie also enjoyed her gambling machines, a good joke and a hearty laugh.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband Ben Marshall and second husband Bruno Isaac, 2 children in infancy Harriet and Anthony and siblings Peter, Michael, Victor and Janet.
She is survived by her children: Herman (Christine), Hubert (Dana), Bridgette (Ricky), Victor (Annie), Allister, Donna, Virginia, Carol, John, Judy, Russell and Mary, brother Frank, 44 grandchildren including, Tepknuset Sipu (the youngest) and Trish (the oldest), 52 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson Jackson Johnson as well as other family and friends.
A wake will be held at the Elder’s Center in Wagmatcook on Thursday, Mar. 5th starting at 3pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Queen of the World in Wagmatcook on Saturday, Mar. 7 at 11 am with Fr.
