

Whitney Pier
Gertrude Cecilia Peck of Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, formerly of Kentville, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at the residence.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Veronica (MacIsaac) MacMullin.
She was a parishioner of Holy Redeemer parish, Whitney Pier.
Cecilia worked at home to help her mother and later lived in Kentville for 32 years and enjoyed the many friends she made there. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's parish, Chapel Hill, Kentville. She retired at Northside East Bay for 10 years and later moved to Cabot House, Sydney.
Cecilia is survived by a nephew, Joe (Anne) Campbell, Westmount, and a grandniece, Lisa Campbell, Calgary.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Freeman Peck, four brothers, John Henry, Angus J., Donald Francis and Neil Wilfred, four sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Roddie Campbell), Mary Ann, Catherine and Theresa.
Visitation for the late Mrs. Peck will take place at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church with Rev. Paul Murphy officiating. Interment in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery, East Bay.
