Donna Marie Doucette

Born in Boston, Mass, Donna was the daughter of the late Martha Doucette. She was a member of the Holy Family parish, Eskasoni.

She was a worker at the Eskasoni Foodland for many years and will be missed by all co-workers. Donna enjoyed reading, hiking, camping, playing cards and bingo. She loved her pets; dog Muin and cat Jujij, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Donna is survived by lifetime partner David Marshall of Eskasoni, daughter Khrishna (Jeff) of Reserve Mines; sons John Robert (Fran) of Wagmatcook and Thomas Jay of Eskasoni; stepdaughter Fallon Joe of Eskasoni; grandchildren Brady Googoo, Shealynn Googoo, Sarah Googoo, all of Wagmatcook; Rekae Dennis of Eskasoni, unborn granddaughter Joslyn Summerell of Reserve Mines, brother John Doucette of Eskasoni, godchildren Katelyn Paul and Martha Prosper, best friend Connie Francis, cousins Linda Edmands and Carol Davenport along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by son Basil Broderick Paul and daughter in infancy Sarah Jane Doucette, grandmother Sarah Wood and godparents Margaret Francis and Ralph Julian.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, January 24 at 7 pm at the Gabriel Centre, Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 26 at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni with Fr. Martin MacDougall officiating.
