Elizabeth MacDonald

It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth (Betty) MacDonald on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 with her family at her side. Born in Sydney on January 25, 1932, Betty was the daughter of the late Nathan 'Nat' and Victoria (Antle) Ryan, Whitney Pier.

She was predeceased by her husband Greg MacDonald, son Lawrence, infant son Gregory and grandson Neil Gregory MacIntyre. She was also predeceased by sibling brothers Ray and Joe Ryan; sisters Kay Horgan, Rhoda Snow, Carol Scott and Margo Russell; sister in law Margarite Ryan and brother in laws Pat Horgan, Jim Long and Jack Scott.

Betty is survived by daughters Colleen (Jim) McGuire, Trish, Karen (Gordie), Pauline, Judy (Danny) Murray and sons Joe (Linda) and John, Grandchildren Greg (Angie) MacDonald, Denise (Stephen) Leonard, Judy (Brian) McGee, Brad (Erin) MacDonald, Jessica Fillmore, Jalisa MacIntyre and Jonathan MacDonald. Also Sister Gertie Long, sister in law Mary Ryan and brother in law Ted Snow. Plus 11 great children.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at TW Curry Parkview Chapel at 1pm on Wednesday Sept 29th, interment at Resurrection Cemetery to follow.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of choice.
