It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Florence, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Florence passed away peacefully on March 29, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Annie (Currie) MacKinnon. Florence was the youngest member of her family. She is survived by sons Stewart Jr., Sydney, Todd (Gayle), Glace Bay; and daughter, Donna Marsh, Sydney; two grandchildren, Zackery and Alannah Pezzareallo (Shane) and great-grandaughter, Jayden. She is also survived by her sister Theresa (Ted) Slaney, Montreal, Que. Sister-in-laws: Zita (Marsh) Armishaw, Dophie Marsh, Maurina Marsh, Marie Marsh and brothers-in-law, Gannon (Brother Ninian) Marsh, Fr. Anthony Marsh, Joseph Marsh, John J. MacDonald and many nieces and nephews.

Florence was predeceased by husband Dr. Stewart Marsh, Brothers, Daniel, Joseph (Dody), John, and sisters Margaret MacPhee, Edna Roach, Carmilla MacDonald.

At the family’s request there will be no visitation, the burial has taken place under the direction of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Mass and a reception to be held at a later date.
