Born on February 27, 1986, in Sydney, Nova Scotia, James brought joy, energy, and creativity into the lives of all who knew him. He was a talented tile flooring installer whose craftsmanship can be seen in many places, including the renovated food court at the Micmac Mall in Dartmouth.
James was known for his magnetic personality and warm heart. He had a gift for connecting with people—whether lifelong friends or strangers he’d just met. He was a gifted artist, a lover of video games, music, and movies, and always the life of the party. With a love for dancing and laughter, James brought light wherever he went.
A devoted son, brother, and father, James is survived by his loving mother, Racheal Julian; his sister, Julianna Bagnell; and his cherished children, Nathaniel Croft and Hailey Osborne as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Glenn Bagnell; grandparents Louise and John Bagnell; and grandparents Irene and Ralf Julian.
James lived by the simple but powerful belief in helping others. If someone needed a hand, he offered his without hesitation.
A proud Catholic, James’s wake and funeral will be held in Eskasoni, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and say goodbye.
James will be remembered for his infectious energy, his kindness, and the love he gave freely to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
