

78 – Little Narrows
The death of James Allister Dickie, 78 of Little Narrows, occurred on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Springhill, N.S., he was the son of the late Clyde and Laura Dickie.
He was retired from Maritime Tel&Tel (Aliant), a member of Philae Temple Shriners,Halifax; Sircom Lodge #66 Whycocomagh and Past Grand Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are his wife Marian (Bourinot), Little Narrows, son James (Elizabeth), Sydney; daughter Mary (Ian) MacKenzie, Little Narrows; Carol (Peter) Wilson, Head of St. Margaret’s Bay; sister Mrs. Shirley MacCallum, Springhill; daughter-in-law Patricia (Bill) Dickie, Halifax; son-in-law Glen (Beverley) Thistle, Sydney; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by son William ‘Bill’ 2007 and daughters Beverley 2009 and Allyson in infancy; sisters Lorraine Dixon and Mary Gouthro.
No visitation or funeral by request. A private family committal service will be at Little Narrows Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Little Narrows.
