Jeffrey Robert Hooper

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jeffrey Robert Hooper in Bedford, Nova Scotia, previously of Sydney River, on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Jeff was predeceased by his parents, Neil (Buddy) Hooper and Mildred (Keough) Hooper. Jeff is survived by his brother, Neil and sister-in-law, Colleen. He was a proud uncle to Corinne, Kevin, and Shawn.

Jeff was blessed with parents who gave him love and happiness. The highlight of his life was spending summers at the family cottage in Boisdale. His fondest memories were swimming, gathering with treasured family and friends, and enjoying bonfires. He developed a love of music in Boisdale that he carried throughout the rest of his life.

In 2012 he moved to Northwood Bedford Ivany Place surrounded by love and care. He enjoyed many friendships with residents and staff. Jeff was a fixture at the musical concerts where he could be seen clapping, singing, and conducting the orchestra! This was his home away from home.

Jeff had a zest for life. He had the ability to see the sunny side of every day, and he was a source of positivity for everyone around him. Jeff loved his family and friends, and he had room in his heart for all of them. If you believe in the expression, “life is a suitcase full of memories”, Jeff packed an extra large one into his 55 years of life. Jeff’s departure from this world has left big holes in our hearts but we will treasure the time we had with him and hold dear our fond memories.
