

Predeceased by his mom Helen (Sylliboy) Paul and dad Lawrence John Paul, brothers Darrell, Nathan and sister Belinda. He leaves to mourn, Rosie, his wife of 25 years, loving children, Andrè, William, his only daughter Lucinda (Catlan), Eli (Ashley), Edwin (Kelsey), Lawrence (Robin), Peter (Aysa) all of Eskasoni & special nephew whom he took as his own, Curtis Simon (Rose). Also left to mourn are his brothers, Lindsay (Vivian), Aubrey, Stanley (Nat), Irving (Lesley), Joe (Karen), Kenneth (Shannon), sisters Lorna, Isabel and 9 Grandchildren, Bentley, Hawkston, Ridge, Easton, Liam, Phoebe, Gerard, Jack and Landon. godchildren, Megan Gillis, Andrew (91) Francis, Madison Kane Googoo, Evelyn and Tat’n Knockwood as well as his one last uncle Jack. Also left are his good friends, Max and Bridget, Jason Wilson, Jim Demeyeres, Darren Googoo, Allison Bernard, John Rambo and way too many more to count.
Lawrence spent many years employed with the Eskasoni Band as an assistant band manager, public works manager, lands manager, animal control officer and much more. He was an avid pool player with cape breton pool league. Lawrence was the captain of the Dr. Granny vessel and was employed by Crane Cove Seafoods up until his untimely passing.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered as a man who never gave up in life. A strong hunter, fisherman, teacher and provider for his community. He will be sadly missed at the annual youth moose camp that he played a major role in setting up.
A wake will be held at the Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni starting at 7PM on Sunday, May 11 and continuing until 10:30AM on Tuesday, May 13, when a Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church with Fr.
