Dartmouth/Grand Narrows
The death of Mary Elizabeth 'Isabel' MacLean occurred peacefully at home in Dartmouth on May 25, 2015.
Born in Grand Narrows on June 29, 1912, she was a daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Gillis) MacLean and the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; son, Blair; sons-in-law, Len Boone, Dave Lafave, Ambrose Pettipas and grandson, Joseph Pettipas.
She is survived by daughters, Kathleen (Len) Boone, Ottawa, Myrna (Dave) Lafave, Dartmouth, Michele (Ambrose) Pettipas, Middle Sackville; granddaughter, Krista (Adonis) Farray, Ottawa and grandson, Daniel Pettipas, Saskatoon.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 28 from 7-9 p.m. at St. Barra Church, Christmas Island. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 29 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Reception to follow at the fire hall.
