

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, Nelgah MacDonald on March 8, 2013. Nelgah was born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marjorie (Cole) Musgrave.
Nelgah was a member of the Ashby Legion, St. Theresa’s parish and the Cedars Bowling League. She was a kind hearted loving person who cared about everything and everyone in her life. She lived each day to the fullest and never missed an opportunity to have a good time. She loved gathering with family and friends to share good food and conversation. Nelgah was a master hairstylist for 59 years working at Alexandra Street Seniors Complex, Highrise Complex and Maple Ridge Seniors Complex. Her absence will be deeply felt my by her co-workers and friends at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel where she worked for over 40 years as their hairstylist.
Nelgah is survived by her loving children, Evelyn (Earl) Reid, Kelli (Lorne ‘Lawrence’ Green) MacDonald and K.J. (Gabriela)MacDonald, all of Sydney; sister, Shirley Ardelli, Sydney River; brother, Abbie Musgrave, Sydney; sister-in-law, Shirley Musgrave, Boston; grandchildren, Robert (Samantha)Reid, Mark (Kayla Stager) Reid, Jennifer (Shaun MacDonald) Reid.; loved by many nieces, nephews and her two god children.
Nelgah was predeceased by her husband, Jim MacDonald; step-father, Cecil Mason; brother, Bill Musgrave; nephew, Bert Musgrave, sister-in-law, Margaret Musgrave and brother-in-law, Michael Ardelli.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, March 11 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12 at St. Theresa’s Church, Sydney. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. A reception to follow in the reception room at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel.
