Nilan Joseph Joe

Nilan will be dearly missed by his parents Sassy Poulette and Keith Joe Sr, his loving partner Kathey Holly Denny, son Tridyn Joe and daughter Khaila Denny. Nilan is survived by sisters Joanne Joe (Francis) and Delia Joe (Jordan), brothers John, Elvis (Zara), Keith Jr., Paul (Kaliey) and Wilton, nieces and nephews Dearah, Jordon Jr., Jeremy, Joseph, Jacoby, Elissa, baby Kota and Connar, grandmother Joanne Poulette, uncles Bertram (Kristen) and Dobit Joe of Eskasoni, Dana (Mabel), Charlie (Eleanor) of Membertou, Kiju Sugar Poulette, godparents Yvette Paul of Truro, Alan Paul and Jackie Simon and best friends Albert, Tomas, Brandon, Johnny, Robert, San, Antle, Martha, FunkieJij and TC.

Nilan had a smile that lit up a room. His quick sense of humour and his love of his family and friends will never be forgotten. Nilan was also a member of the Eskasoni Holy Family Parish.

He is predeceased by paternal grandparents John & Evelyn Joe, maternal grandfather Francis Poulette, uncle Garrison, aunt Delia Marie, great uncle Walter and his older brother Gordon James Poulette and Joseph Nilan Poulette, aunts Susie Jane Stevens, Margaret Paul, Evelyn Ginnish, Mary Ruston, uncles James Joe and Donald Gordon Joe.

There is no visitation or wake. Those wishing may attend the funeral virtually by watching it on ETV or on the Eskasoni First Nation Facebook Page. Livestream will take place on Saturday, June 12 starting at 10:30am. Interment in Holy Family Parish Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.twcurry.com.
