Patricia Hamper

Johanna Patricia Hamper 61 of Sydney, passed away Tuesday June 7, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Herald Gilbert and Maatje ‘Marge, Marsha’ Hamper.

Patricia attended the Truro Training School and upon returning home worked for many years at the Horizon Achievement Centre in Sydney. She was a faithful member of St. Marks Anglican Church in Coxheath and in recent years was a member of the Anglican Church of Christ the King in Sydney. Patricia’s special talent was her beautiful voice and she was a faithful member of the church choir for many years. She enjoyed an active social life and loved listening to music and singing along with it.

She is survived by her cousin Anke (Bas) Both Meddelbury, Holland; Denise Sibley, Sydney; Nellie (Roland) Ball, Sydney; Jim ( Leona ) Hamper, Sydney; Frank Hamper, Plainfield Ontario; Ann Watson, Kentville; Jean (Carl) Anthony, Brampton Ontario and several other cousins.

Patricia is predeceased by her parents.

Visitation for Patricia Hamper will take place on Friday from 9:30 -10:30 am at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday at The Church of Christ The King with Rev. Reg. MacDonald officiating. Burial will take place in St. Marks Cemetery Coxheath.
