Perry was welcomed to wa’so’q by his predeceased parents Lawrence Marshall and Cora Dennis. Perry passed away suddenly at home. He will be forever cherished by his siblings: Lawrence (Tammy), Dorothy (Mick), Dorianna, Rachel, Nora, Roselena, and Troy, along with his children: Riveria, Shania, Kalene, Michiah, Lawrence, Rylan, and Kovey. He also had a special friend John John Doucette and five godchildren: Rick, Alexander, Janelle, Trista, and Gabriella, as well as numerous grandchildren nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and godparents: Mary Julia Francis and Leonard Marshall.
Perry, a proud Mi'kmaq fisherman, worked at Crane Cove Seafood for over 25 years. He took pride in his Mi'kmaw culture and enjoyed spending time with his buddies and godchildren, Rick and Alexander, engaging in activities such as cooking, fishing, and hunting. He cherished spending time outdoors during the fall season and went fishing in winter and spring. Furthermore, he was skilled in mechanics and found pleasure in fixing vehicles. He had a collection of little Dodge Red Trucks that he treasured.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 17th, after 7 p.m. at his residence located at 5132 Shore Road, Eskasoni. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 19th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish in Eskasoni, and it will be officiated by Fr. Antolin Asor and Deacon Tom Sylliboy.
