Peter Young

He is survived by his loving partner and wife Marcella, his children Nancy (Ian), Marina, Shelley (Christian), Byron (Susan), Renee (Dustin), and Mary Tena; his siblings; Walter John, Ann (Richard), Frederick, Isabel, Eunice, Eddie, Sandra, Maynard (Jennifer), Rodney (Nelishia), Bernadina (Derick) and his grandchildren Josef, A’leah, Emma, Jacen, Honour, Seanna, Ava, Elizabeth, Cara, Wleyuti, Lailah, and many nieces and nephews.

Peter is predeceased by his parents, godparents Levi and Lena Joe, and nephew Douglas and also his brothers-in-law John and Richard Johnson.

Peter enjoyed many activities throughout his life including fishing with Marcella and John, playing the guitar, singing, bingo, reading and never forgot to pick up a lottery ticket every week. He loved to talk and laugh, and always had a smile for everyone he met. He was very well known for giving out nicknames that stayed with his nieces and nephews. His smile and humour will forever be missed.

Visitation will be held at the Gabriel Center in Eskasoni on November 1st at 7pm. Due to NS Health restrictions a private family service will be held at Holy Family Church with Fr. Antolin Asor officiating.
