96 – Sydney

Rita Mary Dubois, 96 of Sydney passed away at the Cove Guest Home on Wednesday, August 19, 2015.

Rita lived at 226 Lisgard Street until she moved to the Cove in early February 2015.

Rita was born in Sydney to the late Duncan and Catherine (MacEachern) Campbell.

Rita was a member of St. Theresa’s parish.She was a fantastic cook and loved having company, welcoming all, especially friends of her children and also enjoyed watching sports, especially hockey, golf and baseball.

She is survived by her daughter Donelda of Sydney, sons Peter, Sydney; Hugh (Theresa), Port Hawkesbury and Greg (Linda), Blackett’s Lake. Also survived by four grandsons, Michael, Greg, Brent and David Dubois, all of Alberta, three great grandsons, Zachery, Michael and Christopher of Calgary, her sister Catherine ‘Kay’ Devlin, New Jersey and brother Joseph Campbell of Cornwall.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1990, daughter Cathy in 1973, son Barry in 2004 and brother Hugh Campbell.

Visitation for the late Mrs. Dubois will take place on Sunday, August 23 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 am at St. Theresa’s Church with Rev. Dennis Lamey officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
