

80 – Sydney Forks
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Donald Chipman, age 80, on Saturday, February 14, 2015, surrounded by his loving family at home, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Donald and Cassie (MacDonald) Chipman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Effie (Farrell) Chipman, his 3 sons Chip (Nel), New Waterford; Dave, Sydney Forks; Dan (Cathy), his precious granddaughter Jenna, Halifax; sisters Faye Moore and Gail Power, both of New Waterford and cherished godson & buddy, Scott Sampson.
Bobby was predeceased by his daughter Debbie.
Bobby and Effie especially loved to go to the dances with their friends Joan and Jimmy Costello and eating out at his favourite restaurants. He worked at the Heather Mobile Homes for 42 years and also worked at the East Bay Legion for 11 years bartending. He was a car enthusiast, always working on his cars, detailing them, making sure they were clean and shiny; best of all was his captivating story telling.
There will be no visitation for the late Mr. Chipman. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 17 at 2:30 pm at St. Mary’s Church, East Bay,with Fr. Frank Abbass officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery, East Bay.
