Rose was known for her crafting abilities, especially sewing with the Cape Breton Tartan and the Nova Scotia Tartan. You could find Rose at The Crafters Cottage located at Shop The Fiddle in Sydney. She also loved baking, cooking and was there if anybody needed her. Rose was also involved and passionate about the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program.
Rose is survived by her partner Allan "Gus" MacKinnon, and sister Debbie McIvor as well as nieces and nephews.
Rose was predeceased by her parents Millie and Cecil Turner.
As per Rose's wishes cremation has taken place under the direction of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel and no services will take place.
In memory of Rose, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Tire Jumpstart.
