Sacha Joan Elizabeth Googoo

It is with shattered hearts that we announce the sudden passing on April 4. 2026 of a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Sacha Joan Elizabeth Googoo. Sacha was born on November 27th, 1983 to Mary (Johnson) and Allan Googoo in Sydney at St. Rita’s hospital. Sacha was a kind hearted happy go lucky woman who enjoyed applying makeup and listening to music. Sacha was humorous, loving, gentle and caring.

Sacha loved her family dearly and was very much loved by all her family members. She is survived by her dad Allan, siblings Stephanie and Riles (Carlee), nieces Coda (James), Ange, Candace, Charmaine, Caprice, Charity, Avery, Sky and Presley, nephews Dre, Prentice Jr. and Constantine Googoo, also great nephews Lucas, Stefan, Brock (Coda and James) and Pie’l (Ange and Melvin). Sasha is also survived by her aunts and uncles; Bridgette Denny, Jetta Denny, Anita Googoo, Carleen Googoo, Darren Googoo, Melissa Googoo and Vernon Googoo, Lottie Johnson, Patricia (Johnson) Dennis, Gerald Johnson, Gerard (Regina) Johnson, Thomas (Elizabeth) Johnson and Carol Marshall, along with many cousins and numerous friends.

Sacha was predeceased by her mother Mary C. Googoo, brothers Ethan, Dylan, Prentice Johnson and David in infancy, sister Allie in infancy as well as maternal grandparents, John T. and Margaret Johnson, paternal grandparents Joseph and Virginia Googoo, uncles Reggie and Charles Googoo and Arthur, Ralph, and Albert "Golydadd" Julian and aunts Joan Marshall, Linda Moore and Elizabeth Ryan Paul. Sacha is also predeceased by her Godparents Ryan Paul and Susan (Margaret) Paul.

Visitation will take place starting at 7pm on Tuesday, April 14 at the Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni and continuing until the service which will take place on Thursday, April 16 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni with Fr. Antolin Asor officiating. Internment will take place in the Bahai Cemetery, Eskasoni followed by a Salité at the Gabriel Centre.
