Walter Poulette of 121 Castle Bay Road, Eskasoni, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at home.
Born in Eskasoni, he was the son of the late Stephen Poulette and Ann Madeline (Sylliboy) Poulette-Bernard.
Walter was a member of Holy Family parish, Eskasoni. He was well known for his wreath making , was a fisherman of gaspereau known as(Kaspaleau). He was a ‘Jack of All Trades’; was involved in Cursillo Movement as a Curiesta ; he loved cruising around, karaoke, and visiting the casino.
He is survived by his wife Madeline ‘Sugar’; daughters Cindy and Menia (Glen) Sylliboy; son Terry, grandchildren Walter Sean Ryan, Terrance, Patsy, Eliza, Joel and Tayvn; brothers Ben (Bridget), Levi, David (Mildred), Howard, Maynard (Gina), special brother, Dr. Mohan Virick; sisters Rosie Marshall, Martha Brooks, Nancy (Jr) Sylliboy; sisters-in-law, Joanne Poulette and Margaret; brother-in -law Mike Paul; godchildren Margaret Poulette, Pierre Gould, Stephen Francis, Stephen Paul, Michael Paul, Fred Knockwood, Paul Joe, Ann-Shelby, Piel Herney, Jack Edward Gould; aunt Catherine Bernard and uncle Ben Sylliboy.
Walter was predeceased by his daughters Paula and Stella Marie, brothers Charlie and Francis Poulette; sister Elizabeth Paul and godchildren Stephen, Delia and Gordon James.
Visitation for Mr. Poulette will be on Thursday, October 27 after 5 pm at the family residence 121 Castle Bay Road, Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery, Eskasoni.
