Mrs. Cook was an art major who studied at SUNY Broome in New York. She was an extremely talented artist and loved abstract art. Amy enjoyed making her Italian Sunday dinners & her "Cannestra" sauce. She helped bring Italian cuisine to Sylacauga with her father and husband by assisting in the opening of Giovanni's in 2003.
Amy is survived by her husband of 25 years, George Cook of Alpine; daughter Gabriella Cook of Alpine; and daughter Alexandra Cook of Alpine; grandchildren Aiden Cook And Stella Jo Ogle; her father Joseph John Cannestra and mother Bonnie Lee Cannestra; sister Lisa Cannestra of Sylacauga, sister Elizabeth Cannestra Savage of Chelsea, and sister Christina Cannestra of Sylacauga. Mrs. Cook also leaves several nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.
Amy was preceded in death by; grandparents Mildred Manley, John Manley, Giovanni Cannestra, and Grace Cannestra.
