Barbara Ann Thornton

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Barbara Lentz Thornton,  will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Valley View Church of God with Rev. Keith Owensby officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.

Mrs. Thornton died Friday, September 23, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Lentz; mother, Anna Belle Lentz; and husband, Brinton Thornton.

She is survived by four daughters, Neva A. (Steve) McGrady, Eva (Floyd) Glasscock, Sonda (David) Sims, Robin (Kenny) Johnson; three sisters, Peggy Rousseau, Betty Lentz, Lenda Thomas; grandson, David Brent Sims; five granddaughters, Stevie McGrady, Savannah Sims, Skyler Donahoo, Haiden Gilbert, Madison Gilbert.

Visitation will be Monday, September 26, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Valley View Church of God.

Contributions in her name may be sent to the American Cancer Society at 1100 Ireland Way suite 201, Birmingham, AL 35205 or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at 3500 Blue Lake Drive suite 225, Birmingham, AL 35243.  Flowers may also be sent to Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be David Sims, David Brent Sims, Floyd Glasscock, Reece Donahoo, Jacob Enoch, Kenny Johnson.
