Sylacauga - Funeral service for Betty Joyce Sims, 79, of Sylacauga will be Monday, May 9, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with Brother Ed Green officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Sims passed away Friday, May 6, 2011, at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Thomas A. Sims of Sylacauga, sons; Sandy Sims of Pascagoula, MS, Robert Sims and wife Teresa of Sylacauga, Mark Sims and Charlotte of Sylacauga, daughter; Tonia Lipscomb and husband Tim of Rockford, Sister in law; Jean Countryman of Prattville, (13) Grandchildren, (8) Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Grandsons. Preceded in death by granddaughter Melissa Oglesby, Brother, Jerry Countryman. Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2011, from 12:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
