Mrs. Bobbie Nell Childress of Sylacauga passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011. She was 76 years old. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lesley Martin and sisters, Sara Parker and Rebecca Smith. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, George Childress of Sylacauga; sons, Marty Childress (Cathryn) of Sylacauga, and Gregg Childress (Connie) of Sylacauga; sister, Eunice Brooks of Gadsden, AL; brothers, Buddy Martin of Houston, TX and Mike Martin of Oneonta, AL; grandchildren, Brandi Morgan, Ashley Reid, Matt Childress, Ryan Childress, Alex Childress, Christal Wheeler, and Chance Wheeler as well as 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at the North Chapel with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The Reverend Mike Frost will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Day Johnson, Scott Morgan, Matt Childress, Ryan Childress, Alex Childress, and Caleb Morgan. Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the services.
