Carey M. Green Sr.

Carey is survived by his wife, Carol Green; his sons Gerald Boddie (Amy), David Boddie (Cammie) and Carey "Buddy" Green Jr. (Michelle); his daughters Suzi Halliburton (Mark), Eva Darlene Saffold (Barry); and Cynthia Deann Johnston; his sister Patsy Pulliam; his 13 Grandchildren and his 18 Great Grandchildren.

Carey was preceded in death by his father Gorden A. Green and his mother Ida Mae Green; his brothers Gene Green, Jerry Ray Green and Danny Serrell; and his sisters Ann Zimmerly and Nina Kay Wright.

A Celebration of Life will be July 26, 2025 at 10 am at Shelvin Rock Baptist Church. Carey will be laid to rest in Shelvin Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.

Carey's sons, Gerald Boddie, Carey "Buddy" Green, and David Boddie, will be the pallbearers to carry him from the church to the grave.

Carey retired from Georgia Marble after 47 years as shift lead man, train operator, and heavy equipment operator.
