Cherry D. "Betty" Hay, Weogufka - Funeral service for Cherry D. "Betty" Hay, 68, will be Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 2 pm at Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Thornton and Rev. Wesley Hay officiating. Burial will be in Newsite Cemetery. Mrs. Hay died June 12, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Hay and her husband are the owners of Pete's Bait and Tackle in Weogufka. She is preceded in death by her parents; Charles and Ezell Caldwell; grand-parents; Dewey and Lessie Bearden and brother; Richard Caldwell. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years: Alvin "Pete" Hay of Weogufka; sons; Danny Hay (Tammy) of Weogufka, Scott Hay (Terri) of Weogufka; daughter: Lisa Hay Blankenship (Scott) of Weogufka; grandchildren: Ashley Hawthorne (Tony), Kayla Berry (Trey), Carly Blankenship, Shelley Hosey, Danielle Patterson, Nathan Hay, Dylan Hay and Corey Hosey; Great Grand-children; Evan Murray and Brynlee Hawthorne; sisters; Maxine Northcutt of Sylacauga, Linda Ruth Davis (Dennis) of Shelby; Kay Robinson of Shelby; Charlene Caldwell of Shelby; brother-in-laws; Billy Hay (Sherry), Abo James Hay (Diane), Gary Hay (Bridget),Steve Kennedy (Glenda), the late Howard Hay (JoAnn). Visitation will be Wednesday; June 13, 2012, from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be, Brian Hughes, Trey Berry, Ronnie Wilson, Jeff Yates, Tony Hawthorne. Honorary Pallbearers will be Adam Hay and Tony Hay.
