Daniel Patrick Kirby

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Daniel Patrick Kirby, 24, will be Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Jerry Irwin officiating.

Mr. Kirby passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billie Phillips, Augusta Hammond, Jr., and Cora Lou Hammond, and aunt, Rhonda Mae Hammond. Daniel was a graduate of the Class of 2011 at Sylacauga High School, where he played golf on the Sylacauga High School golf team, then later played for Talladega College. While in high school Daniel also received a National Math Award. He was known to his friends as Kirby Derby and was also known for his love of Star Wars, his Chevy truck, his family, his friends, and his classmates. Daniel was a great son, grandson, and friend, he will be truly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Lesa Kidd husband Willie of Sylacauga; father, David Kirby wife Kim of Anniston; grandmother, Mabel Kidd of Sylacauga; two sisters, Yvette Kidd and Rachel Kidd of Sylacauga; six uncles, Marty Funderburg, Greg Funderburg, Michael Funderburg, Robert Kidd, Ray Hogan, and Marcus Kidd; and an aunt, Pam McDonald.

Visitation will be Friday, November 18, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be A.J. Tubbs, C.J. Knight, Jacob Collier, Austin Rainwater, Drew Miller, Ramsey Pullen, Gary Pullen, Troy Bailey, Greg Tubbs, Gary Rivers, Donnie Watson, and Jamie Carter. The Sylacauga High School Class of 2011 will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Troy Bailey, Donnie Watson, Gary Pullen, Jacob Collier, Jamie Carter, Ramsey Pullen, Alex Jackson, Greg and A.J Tubbs, Paul Bailey, C.J. Knight and family, Mildred Brown, Mona and David Midlik, Bryant and Phyllis Adrian, Mike Smith, and the Sylacauga Police Department.
