Delores is survived by her daughter Laura Vick and son Clayton Waites; her brothers Lane Carroll and Matt Carroll, and sister Terri Carroll Payne; and her grandchildren Katlyn Vick, Madelyn Vick, Autumn Waites, Camron Waites, and Kade Waites.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Samuel Waites; her daughter Amy Joy Waites; her father Ganey Carroll and her mother Bobby Carroll.
Delores was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She loved listening to oldies music, watching westerns and Alabama football, cooking and going to the beach. She was the epitome of selflessness, dedicating her life to caring for others with unwavering love and devotion. She was loved so much by so many and brought so much joy and happiness to those around her.
A visitation for Delores will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
