Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Donald Lee Parker, 85, will be Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Sis. Marie Butler and Pastor Rolando Turner officiating. Burial will be in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Mr. Parker passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 8:53 a.m. at UAB hospital in Birmingham.
Rev. D. L. Parker has a BA degree from Southeastern Bible College in Lakeland, FL. He has traveled all over the world in the evangelistic field of ministry for over 50 years. He has been to Israel 33 times as a tour host and is the author of 6 books.
Dr. Parker has studied under Rabbi's and great men of God with the late Dr. Vendyle Jones of Texas being one of his greatest mentors.
Dr. Parker has dedicated himself to study and learn more about his roots in Judaism in order to teach others.
Don is survived by his wife of 27 years, Judy Parker of Sylacauga; two sons, Kevin Parker (Dana) of Atlanta, GA., Todd Parker (Nancy) of Glenwood Springs, Colrado; two daughters, Loretta (Tim) Harrell, Lisa (Robert) Barnett both of Senatobia, MS.; brother, Rick Parker (Linda) of Twinsburg, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
