Doris M. ColemanSylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Doris M. Coleman, 67, will be Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Stephen Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Tallasahatchie Cemetery in Alpine, AL .Doris Faye Machen Coleman went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Coosa Valley Medical Center after her long courageous battle with ovarian cancer.  She was a graduate of Winterboro High School (1965) and N F Nunnelly Technical College (1983).  She retired from Ebsco Industries in 2014, after 26 years of employment.She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Machen, grandparents, John and Lena (Barnett) Machen, Frank and Mary (Sherbert) Patterson and Synde (Collier) Patterson, several aunts, uncles and cousins.She is survived by sons, Gregory Coleman of Sylacauga, AL and Eddie Coleman wife Melissa of Alabaster, AL granddaughter, April Hyde of Alabaster, AL, former husband and father of her sons, Jim Coleman of Hoover, AL, sister cousin, Kathy and Ricky Jones, mother, Myrtle Machen of Sylacauga, AL. Visitation will be Wednesday April 29, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at Radney Smith Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Marble City Baptist Church building/loan fund or the American Cancer Society Research for ovarian cancer.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
