Dottie Marie Grimes

Dottie is survived by her son Tim Grimes (Amy); her grandchildren, Travis Grimes (Stacey), Wendy Nordquist (Pete), Jeremy Grimes (Christy), and Chad Grimes (Katie); 5 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; and her siblings Mary Patterson, Erbie Bryant, Roscoe Collins, and Howard Collins.

Dottie was preceded in death by her husband Sam Grimes; daughter Teresa Marie Grimes; son Jim Grimes; parents Irby and Lillian Collins; and her siblings John Ed Collins, Bobby Jo Collins, and Betty Payton.

Dottie loved her husband, Sam and her family. She also enjoyed fishing and sewing.

A visitation for Dottie will be held Friday, November 29, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Tommy Thornton and Bro. David Rozelle officiating.

Dottie will be laid to rest at Grimes Chapel Cemetery, 25235 Coosa County Rd 29, Sylacauga, Alabama 35151.

Serving as pallbearers are Travis Grimes, Chad Grimes, Jeremy Grimes, Gene Grimes, Adam Grimes, and Pete Nordquist.
