Dr. William E. Percy III

Dr. William (Bill) E Percy IIISylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Dr. William (Bill) E Percy III, 61, will be Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Dr. Rick Patrick officiating.  A graveside service will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Shreveport, LA on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.Dr. Percy died Monday, July 6, 2015 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Edgar Percy and Mary Alice Albright Percy, first wife of 17 years, Sissie Parsons Percy.  He was a 1971 graduate of Lake Charles High School where he played in LCHS band.  He also was a graduate of Dallas Baptist College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  Dr. Percy was a former pastor of Odena Baptist Church, Central Baptist Church in Talladega and Five Points Baptist Church.  He had a quick wit and was always available to those in need.  He produced 3 CD's of religious music and was an accomplished pianist.  He is survived by his wife, Judy Percy, sister, Harriet Eugenia Percy and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be Wednesday July 8, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral HomePallbearers will be John Tankersley, Sid Tankersley, Larry Tankersley, Luke Tankersley, Jimmy Johnson, Wade Blackmon, L.
