Durward Franklin Ingram, Sr.Childersburg, AL - Funeral service for Durward Franklin Ingram, Sr., 81, will be September 7, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Radney-Smith Chapel with Bro. Ron Partain and Rev. Ty  Coffey officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mr. Ingram died Sunday, September 4, 2011 at his residence.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Childersburg, where he was a member of their XYZ club.  He was a former member of Glen Addie Baptist Church in Anniston.  As a husband and father, Mr. Ingram was known to be a praying man and talked to God often.  He is now talking with Him face to face.  May God be as glorified in his earthly death as we, his family, were blessed during his life.  He was preceded in death by parents, Dock and Lola Ingram; brothers, W.J. Ingram and his wife Eulaila, Morris Ingram and his wife Wilma, Jack Ingram; sister-in-law, Evelyn Blackerby; brothers-in-law, Marvin Glenn, Rev. Lewis Minor, Robert Rogers and Clarence Spalding; lifelong friend, Bill Vansant; father-in-law, John Henry Jones and mother-in-law, Ola Mae Jones.He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Ingram; sons, Terrell D. Motes, wife Karen, of Sylacauga and Chip Ingram of Rainbow City, AL; daughters, Marilyn Wesson, husband Earl, of Alpine, AL and Jan Coffey, husband Greg, of Alabaster, AL; brother, James Nichols "Nick" Ingram, wife Nell, of Columbiana; sister, Elmira Glenn of Tuscaloosa; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday September 6, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.Pallbearers will be Greg Coffey, Earl Wesson Jr., Ed Glenn, Donald Ingram, Ronald Ingram and Terry Jinks.  The men’s Sunday School class of First Baptist Childersburg will serve as honorary pallbearers.The family wishes to thank Dr. Louis Pineda as well as the staff of Comfort Care Hospice for their loving care and attention, as well as the many extended family and friends for their love and support.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
