Eddie Oliver BrownSylacauga, AL - Our daddy, granddaddy and great-granddaddy, Eddie Oliver Brown, went home to Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior and his wife on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the age of 95.  Funeral services will be Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Forbus officiating.  Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery beside our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother--our "NANNY".Eddie retired from Avondale Mills at the age of 62 after 47 years of employment.  He was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church where he was baptized on April 6, 2008.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Maggie Elizabeth Brown (Nanny); 5 sisters and 2 brothers.He is survived by 4 children, Mildred Ann Brown (Paul Bailey) of Hanover, Douglas Gene Brown of Sylacauga, Connie Jane Brown Williamson (Don) of Alpine and Jimmy Brown (Judy) of Birmingham; 8 grandchildren, Troy Bailey of Sylacauga, De'Anna Bailey (Perry) of Hollins, De'Lana Prince (Ernest) of Childersburg, Jill Williamson (Chris Patterson) of Wilsonville, Douglas Kit Brown (Laura) of Mobile, Crystal Lee Keith (Todd) of Mobile, Donna Brown (Lee) of Irondale and Rhonda Clements (John) of Trussville; 8 great-grandchildren, Donovan Bailey of Hollins, Chaney Prince of Childersburg, Melissa, Matthew and Melonie Brown of Mobile, Alton Patterson of Wilsonville, Austin and Lydia Clements of Trussville and one on the way, Chase Keith of Mobile.Visitation will be Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.Pallbearers will be Douglas Kit Brown, Donovan Bailey, RL Bailey, Chris Patterson, Alton Patterson, Tommy Goggins, Tab Goggins, Jimmy Stewart and Daniel Butler.
