

Edith had a tender, child-like heart and humble spirit. She loved walking, enjoying nature, yard sales, hamburgers, and naughty jokes. Her favorite times were being with loved ones and good friends, being at the library or loving on her "babies" Cassie and Sassy. Most of all, she was a believer in Jesus Christ and is now in her heavenly home.
Edith was preceded by her parents, Archie and Elizabeth Amos; siblings, Kenneth Amos, Jeanette Orr, and James Amos; sister-in-law, Bettie Davis; nephew, Jason Amos, and former son-in-law John Baker.
Edith is survived by children, Liz Baker and Jimmy Ray Wood (Jodie); grandchildren, Amanda Baker Robertson, Tisha Free (Tracy), Kari Chesney (Fletcher) and Jimmy "Bubba" Wood, Jr.; Great grandchildren, Noah Robertson, Kalob Robertson, Jakob White, Chloie Robertson, Sawyer Free and Stella Chesney; nephew, Kevin Minor (Kim), and nieces Kay Davis and Karen Minor Motes.
Per Edith's wishes, there will be no viewing, visitation, or graveside service. There will be a private family burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Edith's memory may be made to Earle A. Rainwater Memorial Library or to the Sylacauga Animal Shelter.
