Geraldine Giddens

Childersburg, AL. - Geraldine Skelton Giddens, age 77, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025.

Geraldine was the most loving, caring, compassionate mother, and loved one. Her five daughters and her sisters were her whole world.

Geraldine is survived by her sisters, Ruby Grice, Catherine Harmon (Rodger), and Doris Burgett; her daughters, Jerri Lynn Joiner (Jeremy), Annette Griffith (Gene), Samantha Melton (Kenny), LeeAnn Bolt (Jimmy), and Jeannie Chandler (David). She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her memory.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Lee Giddens; her parents, J.C. and Lillie Skelton; and her brothers, Roger Skelton, Robert Skelton, and Donald Skelton.

A visitation for Geraldine will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 N Elm Ave. Sylacauga, AL 35150, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers are John Giddens, Terry Corbitt, Dustin Hammonds, Chadley Nickolson, B.J. Skelton, and Bobby Skelton.

Geraldine will be laid to rest in Greenhill Memorial Gardens, 7447 Old Sylacauga Hwy, Childersburg, AL 35044.
