Hazel Gallman Dees, age 86, devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away February 5, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents Leon and Sadie Mae Gallman, husband Bill Dees, granddaughter Katrina Dees, brother Davis Gallman, and sister Elizabeth Hardegree. Survivors include daughters Cindy Crocker (Mark) and Kelli Frederick (Donny), son Mike Dees (Kathy), and beloved family friend and honorary daughter Anita Harris; six grandchildren Matthew Crocker (LaKeisha), Jill Crocker, Alan Dees (Kelley), Wesley Dees, Carlie Frederick, and Nicholas Frederick, four great grandchildren Landon Crocker, Tierney Dees, Teagan Dees, and Riley Frederick, brother James Gallman, and sister Virginia Drummonds. Hazel married the love of her life and they were married 60 years. Hazel was a member of the Sylacauga Church of Christ. She has taught us many lessons and gifts through out our lives and we will continue to pass on those gifts of love, kindness, and patience to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Hazel will be on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Curtis and Son Funeral Home from 1-2 pm. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery at 2 pm. Rev.
