David MitchellSylacauga, AL - Funeral service for David Mitchell, 60, will be Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 am at Radney-Smith Chapel with Jim McCain and Wade Price officiating.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Ashland, AL.Mr. Mitchell passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Alvin and Mildred Mitchell; brother, Jimmy Mitchell.He is survived by his wife, Linda Jones Mitchell of Sylacauga; sons, David Scott Mitchell of Ashland and Brad Curry Mitchell of Sylacauga; daughter, Renee Mitchell Hurst, husband Todd of Lineville; step-daughter, Mandy Bailey Kratz, husband Scott of Vandiver; 5 grandchildren; siblings, Nelwyn Braswell of Dadeville, Ann Mitchell Patterson, husband Roy of Ashland and Julie Mitchell Price, husband Wade of Ashland and 7 nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Friday, August 10, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.Pallbearers will be Wayne Freeman, Keith Faulkner, Wendell Patterson, Alan Patterson, Shane Denton and Reggie McGalliard.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
