Hunter Reid Haisten

Hunter Reid Haisten of Chelsea, AL passed from this life on July 19, 2016. Hunter was born on July 25, 1976 and was raised in Talladega. He graduated from The University of Alabama Culverhouse School of Business in 1998 and earned his master’s degree from the university in 1999. He had been employed as the Human Resources Manager at the Jefferson-Blount-St. Clair Mental Health Authority since 2001. He was honored to be a Deacon at Meadow Brook Baptist Church, Birmingham and also greatly enjoyed being a member of The Red Elephant Club. Hunter was a loving and devoted husband, father, son and brother. He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Laura and his precious daughters, Hallie Claire and Lila of Chelsea; parents, Gary and Pat Haisten of Chelsea; brother, Wes (Erin) Haisten, nieces Gracelyn and Mallory of Chelsea and grandmother, Betty King of Childersburg. He will also be greatly missed by his mother-in-law, Cheryl Mazzone of Sterrett; father-in-law, Rick (Sharon) Mazzone of Birmingham and sister-in-law, Lisa (Andy) Taylor and nephews Ford and Everett of Helena. Funeral Service will be Friday, July 22nd at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Meadow Brook Baptist Church, Birmingham with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Childersburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Meadow Brook Baptist Church, 4984 Meadow Brook Road, Birmingham, AL 35242.
